Preschool when done at home is a little different than in the classroom. It can't really be scheduled because you never really know what may sideline you or come up unexpectedly. For example, I had this lesson planned to do with Ryan while Scott was sleeping. Well, Scott decided to wake up early...sooo I tried to make the activity something he could be a part of too. It didn't hurt that it involved jelly beans. =)
First they sorted the jelly beans by color.
This actually turned out to be good for Scott as well.
Then we took the information and graphed it. By that point, honestly, Ryan was just ready to eat the jelly beans. lol
This just cracked me up.
I got this activity off of confessionsofahomeschooler.com. She has sooo many great free print outs. He marks the lower case letter that matches with a coin. It was fun and actually kept him busy for about 10 minutes!
Fun! We are certainly not on a tight schedule with anything right now. Ryan has a full year left before he officially starts kindergarden so until then I think it should be relaxed and fun. (for both of us) and with a 2 year old around, it almost HAS to be that way. Thanks for reading =)
